(Future Under Construction)

br/ br/ span class="small"ラマラマbr/ 宮城県女川町2015年7月撮影/spanbr/_______________________________br/br/ On March 11, 2011, the tsunami wiped out approximately 80% of Onagawa, transforming the town into a heap of rubble.br/ The town is currently undergoing reconstruction at a rapid pace. Clouds of dust rise everywhere as trucks and construction vehicles come and go. As the land is being elevated and mountains are being levelled, the landscape itself has changed drastically.br/ Not a single trace of the houses that once stood here can be found mdash; only bitter sadness hangs in the air. br/ Amidst all this, the road that ran through the heart of the town was closed for construction.br/ At the end of this road will lie the Onagawa of the future.br/ This new Onagawahellip; what kind of town will it be? I still canrsquo;t picture it, no matter how much the plans are explained to us. But I trust that we'll find out when this road reopens.br/ And with it, there will be a new hometown that we create ourselves. br/br/ span class="small"strongRama Rama/strongbr/ Photo: Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture, July 2015/span
