一面何もなく変わってしまった志津川の街並み。
病院らしき建物の上に残された乗用車に衝撃を受け、
何もかもがうつろに見える。
一瞬のうちに尊い命をなくされた方々を思うと、
その場に立ちつくし言葉もなく、ただただ涙の中に
ご冥福を祈るばかり。希望、復興ということばを遥か遠くに感じました。

Everything was gone; the tsunami turned the town and streets of Shizugawa into a wasteland.
I was shocked to see a car resting on top of what was likely a hospital. Everything felt surreal.
When I think about all the precious lives lost in an instant, I can only cry and pray for their souls as I stand still in silence.
The words “hope” and “reconstruction” feel so far away.
