(The Wall We Can’t Stand)

br/ br/ span class="small"strongエミ/strongbr/ 岩手県宮古市鍬ヶ崎(くわがさき) 2016年4月 撮影/spanbr/ _______________________________br/ br/ There were lots of things we wanted to say. Nothing would change no matter what we said. But I canrsquo;t just sit by and accept it.br/ Itrsquo;s been five, almost six years since the disaster. These concrete walls by the sea mdash; over 10 meters high (nearly 50 feet) mdash; will continue to stretch around the coast.br/ We all will have to live within these walls. New houses are being built one after another.br/ br/ span class="small"strongEmi/strongbr/ Photo: Kuwagasaki, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, February 2017/span
