石巻の渡波地区、住宅地に立つ津波時の避難塔。br/ 津波が来た高さの表示が見えます。1.5階です。br/ これはすごい、２階までは津波をサラリと受けて奥に流します。br/ 災害時物資は４階に置いてあるそうです。br/ 宮城各地の新しい防潮堤を見ました。高くて海が見えなくなっていました。br/ しかし、海が押し寄せてきたらどれほど高くしても、津波は乗り越えて進んで行くのです。br/ 宮城県北沿岸部はリアス式海岸です。海岸からすぐに小高い山なのです。br/ でも、津波は山まで登っていました。br/ 真正面から堤防で防ごうとしても無理でしょう。br/ サラリと流して津波は海に戻る事を邪魔しない事です。br/ これは、安価でよい対策です。なぜ、もっと全国に広がらないのでしょう。br/ 宮城は各地に巨大な予算の堤防ができています。br/br/ span class="small"strong宮城のY/strongbr/ 宮城県石巻市 2018年8月撮影/spanbr/_______________________________br/ br/ br/This tower in the residential district of Watanoha, Ishinomaki City serves as an evacuation site in the event of a tsunami.br/ You can see a sign indicating the height of the [2011] tsunami. Water can pass straight through the building up to the second floor.br/ I hear they store emergency provisions on the fourth floor. br/ Meanwhile, the new seawalls throughout Miyagi Prefecture are so tall that people cannot see the ocean anymore.br/ No matter how tall those walls are, the ocean just surges over them and presses forward.br/ The northern ria coastline of Miyagi is pressed up against small mountains,br/ but the tsunami surged up these mountains, too.br/ Itrsquo;s impossible for the seawalls to stop a tsunami head on.br/ Just let the waves pass through unobstructed and return to the ocean.br/ These are affordable yet effective countermeasures.
