被災地では、離れざるを得なくなったふるさと、住み慣れた地域、そして隣人との思い出を何かに残そう、新たにつなげようと今もなお、努力する人々がいる。br/ br/ 一方、資本・大企業は惨事に便乗し利益をあげようと、そうした被災地の安い土地に時代遅れの石炭火力発電所を次々に建設しようと集まって来る。br/ br/ 国も、石炭火力発電を原発とともにベースロード電源に位置付け後押ししている。br/ 仙台パワーステーション発電所は関西電力と伊藤忠商事の関連会社がつくった環境アセスメント逃れの小規模発電所。br/ br/ ４キロメートル圏内には２３も学校があるというのに。br/ 地元東北電力の火力発電はLNG(液化天然ガス）を燃料にしているというのに。br/ br/ 遠い被災地だから、「あっちのほう」だからできることなのかhellip;。br/ 被災地ではいっそう大きく、悲しみと怒りが渦巻いているbr/ br/ span class="small"strong福島かずえ /strongbr/ 宮城県仙台市 2018年1月 撮影/spanbr/ _______________________________br/ br/ People here are still hard at work to preserve the hometown they were forced to abandon, looking for some way to keep old memories of the community and pass them on.br/ br/ At the same time, large corporations are flooding in to capitalize on the tragedy, making a profit by building outdated coal-fired power plants one after another on cheap plots of land.br/ The government, too, is promoting this trend by prioritizing coal and nuclear power plants.br/ br/ Kansai Electric and Itochu ENEX created the Sendai Power Station pictured here, which is small enough to evade environmental assessments.br/ br/ This is happening even though there are twenty-three schools within just a four kilometer radius of this plant, and while our own Tohoku Electric is utilizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel to generate power.br/ br/ They can get away with it because they see the disaster zone of Tohoku as a ldquo;remote,rdquo; far-off land, I suppose.
